Saturday Mornings

Who am I?
What is this universe?
What is my relationship to it?

Answers to these fundamental questions are said to be the key to living a true and happy life, and to open the door to all other knowledge.

The School of Philosophy offers practical courses that present the great teachings of the world in a manner that is relevant to one’s daily life. Philosophy is not a lofty academic study, but is rather an immediate, relevant and practical discovery of ourselves and the world in which we live.

How can the soul which misunderstands itself have a sure
idea of other creatures?. Seneca

The School in Wellington was incorporated in 1956 and is administered by its senior students. No one in the School receives any financial benefit and the School is a registered charity. It exists simply so that students may study and pursue a philosophic way of life.
